Bugatti Veyron

The car’s safety systems have been designed to cope with its extraordinary performance, acceleration and speed. The single-piece carbon-fiber monocoque alone scores maximum points in crash tests, while airbags give the driver and passenger additional protection. The high-speed tires designed specially for the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (for vmax. > 350 km/h), sizes 265-680 ZR500A (front) and 365-710 R540A (rear), incorporate a further innovative safety feature in the form of the PAX System fitted to the wheels and tires, ensuring safe handling even after sudden pressure loss. Another Bugatti Veyron 16.4 component with a safety element is the rear spoiler. As well as providing the necessary downforce during high-speed travel, it acts as a kind of ‘parachute brake’ during emergency braking. Once precisely-defined deceleration forces are registered the spoiler tilts and the additional air resistance this generates reduces the braking distance to that of a lorry.

Peugeot Spider 207

Races mark will be richer with one model and that is Spider 207, produced by PSA. Although its front size is the same as for its similar concept- 20 Cup, the new French creation is unique, by having 4 wheels instead of 3. Unlike 908 V12, it will be presented in other races, where the cost will be cheaply. That is the reason why this concept has many characteristics from all Peugeot models. Brake discs are from 407, direction system is a hybrid from 206 and 407, and the cooling system with the turbo propeller (EP6 DTS code) of 1.6 litres, with 16 valves, which develops 175 hp are from 207.

Citroen C-Metisse

Citroen C-Metisse has an unconventional propulsion system, containing the same HDi from C6 (V6, 2.7 litres, 208 hp) and 2 electrical engines that make the back wheels to keep on rolling. These 2 electrical engines develops (together) 20 hp, but the torque is higher, of 400 Nm! So, we have to see this concept only at Auto Shows, because I don’t think Citroen C-Metisse will be on our streets. But I surely want that!

Ascari A10

British producer for sport cars, Ascari presents a new model made to compete with Ferrari Enzo FXX. But, as we all know, Ferrari FXX it can’t be driven on streets and the British product is a road-legal one. Of course, there must be a problem the price, € 522,000 and even so, there is much less than the price for Ferrari FXX. The body is built of carbon fibre and weight only 1.2 tones. It accelerates at 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and gets to 160 km/h in less than 6 seconds. Another bad news is that if you want to buy one, you have to hurry, because will be built only 10 pieces.

392 Hemi Dodge Challenger

Based on the concept that will appear on public roads, the Americans have developed a race version, named 392 Hemi Dodge Challenger Super Stock, presented at SEMA tuning show. With this Dodge, its creators want to resolve 2 problems: to prove how good looks a tuned Challenger and to presents the new creation of MOPAR division. It’s about the new V8 propeller of 6.4 litres (or 392 cubic inches), which develops 540 hp and 664 Nm, even on series models.

Brabus - 225 Mph Police Car

If you stay in a country and you have many fast roads, you surely need some good patrol cars. And, if the Italians have a 640bhp Lamborghini Murcielargo LP640, is the time now for the Germans to show what a real police car means. So, they offered a Brabus, based on the Mercedes Benz CLS. Brabus Rocket set the record for the world’s fastest production saloon, by hitting 227.2 mph at the Nardo high speed bowl in Italy.

The car is used as a PR exercise, but the Rocket is very real and can be yours for £235,178. For this price you will get a great modified Mercedes V12, which starts life as a mere 5.5 litres in the S-Class. Brabus has also a couple of turbochargers and a performance exhaust system to ramp up the power to a 730 bhp. The peak torque is of 973 lb/ft, 5 speed automatic gearbox, accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.0 seconds, 12 piston callipers grabbing on to enormous ceramic brakes and 19 inch alloy wheels. Great car to patrol with! I want to be a police officer. =)

Dodge Viper SRT10

Dodge Viper SRT10 is the new model of the Viper, which is going to be available both as a coupe and as a convertible The enginge of the new Viper has 600 Hp pulled out from the 8.4-liter V-10. This means 100hp more than the simple version, Dodge SRT10. Also, this means that the Corvette Z06 is behind with 88Hp, and that makes the Dodge Viper SRT10 the most powerfull. Not many specifications are available, but it is known that it does reach to 60mph in “under 4 seconds”.

Mercedes-McLaren SLR 722

The Mercedes Mclaren SLR 722 Edition accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a 3.6 seconds, to 200 km/h in 10.2 seconds, and to 300 km/h in just 28.0 seconds, and it has a top speed of 337 km/h

Audi A4 2007

This is how the new Audi A4 will probably look like. I can see the resemblance with the Audi TT in the front grill and front lights. Not necessarily a good thing, though. I do think the current Audi A4 has a more agressive face. It’s obvious that the new car will have LED taillights and it will also feature some LED lamps in the front under the headlamps.

The First Photo of Audi A5

This is the first official photo of the brand new Audi A5 coupe. The new Audi A5 is the first car based on the new corporate platform from Audi, which promises better handling and a better ride than any of the previous Audi platforms. The name of the new Audi platform is Modular Platform for longitudinally mounted engines, or short, MLP, and it will be used in the upcoming Audi A4, Audi A6 and Audi A8.
I think this is a beautiful car and I can hardly wait to see the announced RS5 which will be a sports car killer.

Volkswagen prepares Touareg R

Volkswagen announced that they want to make an R version for their SUV, VW Touareg. After Golf R32 and Passat R36 it’s Touareg’s time to become a sports car. VW Touareg R could be named R50 and it will have for sure the same characteristic design elements of Golf R32 and Passat R36. The confirmed information presents the car with an V10 diesel engine of 4.9 litres and not one on gasoline, but the R-Touareg could have an W12 engine capable of 450HP. That would not be a smart move because it will be a serious competitor for Audi Q7 V12 TDI.

Saab Premieres BioPower 100

Saab will give green motoring a performance boost at next month’s Geneva Motor Show when it unveils its latest BioPower development.
The Saab BioPower 100 Concept showcases the first production-based engine to be optimized for pure bioethanol (E100) fuel. The result is a level of performance never seen before from a road car using this fuel.
To be shown as an exciting evolution of the Saab 9-5 SportCombi, this latest BioPower concept demonstrates the great performance potential of bioethanol.
Peak power is complemented by a substantial 400 Nm of torque, giving this optimized engine the power characteristics of a naturally-aspirated engine of 4.0-liters displacement. This is reflected in strong performance, the Saab 9-5 BioPower 100 Concept achieving zero to 100 kph acceleration in just 6.6 seconds and 80 - 120 kph (fifth gear) in an even more impressive 8.2 seconds.

The New Audi S5 Coupe

The Audi S5 is a unique competitor among high-performance coupés, thanks to its combination of V8 FSI technology and quattro permanent four-wheel drive. The eight-cylinder engine with its superb power delivery has worthy counterparts in the specially tuned sports suspension and high-performance brakes. Subtle, but clear design elements inside and out serve to distinguish this coupé as a high performance athlete in a league of its own. The Audi S5 goes on sale with the launch of the Audi A5 series.
The eight-cylinder engine has a rated power output of 260 kW (354 bhp). Its peak torque is 440 Nm, which it already delivers at 3,500 rpm. Within just 5.1 seconds the Audi S5 can sprint to 100 km/h. But no figures can adequately describe the supreme free-revving character, the spontaneous response, the continuous power build-up, or the thrilling sound of this eight-cylinder engine. The V8 naturally derives its enormous power potential from the innovative FSI direct injection technology with high compression and optimum fuel mixture formation.
